Agave Chocolate Chip Cookies

  • Ingredients:
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • ¾ cup Nectavé Organic Agave Nectar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1½ cups chocolate chips

Steps

  • 1) Preheat oven to 325°F — reduced temperature prevents over-browning when baking with agave nectar.
  • 2) In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  • 3) In a large bowl, beat butter and Nectavé Organic Agave Nectar together until smooth.
  • 4) Add eggs and vanilla extract and mix well.
  • 5) Gradually stir in the flour mixture until just combined.
  • 6) Fold in chocolate chips.
  • 7) Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto a lined baking sheet.
  • 8) Bake for 8–10 minutes until edges are set but centers look slightly underdone.
  • 9) Cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
